Occasionally some of our classmates from the class of 67
make the news. Just this week, a couple of them have done
just that.

Recognize this guy? Our very own James Stroud who played
the drums in the band at Woodlawn is now one of the top
record producers in Nashville. He was honored this week
on the Academy of Country Music Awards for producing
the song "How Do You Like Me Now" sang by Toby Keith.

Know this guy? Tommy Harrington who was the kicker on
the football team now lives in Franklin, TN. and is
a professional race car driver on the ASA circuit. He
drove on the NASCAR circuit for a while but settled in
the ASA. There was a verynice article in the Shreveport
Times about an interview with his mother, Hattie
Harrington who has been an avid racing fan since
 Tommy was a kid.

Here is another of our classmates that has been in the news lately. Desi Sprawls who was one of our class officers is now a minister and so is his wife Cathy. They have started a church in Southpark Mall which is in the southern part of the city. The mall has been failing for the past few years and has lost both of it's anchor stores. The newspaper did a feature article about Desi and his wife which was very nice. We all need to wish him well and make sure our prayers are with him and his wife.
